Taip pat ši šventė siejama su saulėgrąža

Per tris karalius ant durų su balta kreidele parašome +K+M+B, tai reiškia karalių vardus: Kasparas, Merkelis ir Baltazaras.
Vėliau šią tradiciją žmonės pradėjo taikyti
ir namuose tikėdami,kad užrašius raides, namai bus apsaugoti nuo piktųjų dvasių.
